Important Notice about the future operation of Treehugger Dan's Bookstore

Dear Friends,
As some of you maybe aware Treehugger Dan's bookstore is currently in a legal dispute with Yellow Zebra/Discover Budapest in relation to ownership rights of Treehugger Dan's book stock and related issues.

Please note that this means that Yellow Zebra has taken over my mailing list and is in effect selling books to the public and using the Treehugger brand without my consent.

I would be most grateful if you could let everyone know and accordingly suspend all commercial interaction (books, dvds) with Yellow Zebra Books until this unfortunate dispute is resolved.

I will keep everyone informed if there is any change.

With sincere thanks for your past and ongoing support,

Treehugger Dan

Background
Treehugger Dan's Bookstore Cafe became a Budapest institution over the past 7 years. We have stood for good books, Fair Trade organic coffee, great live concerts every week, an information point, a meeting place, an English language cultural center, and more. It was perhaps the first social enterprise in Hungary, and a very successful one thanks to YOU. We had some huge successes over the years, including convincing the Office of the Hungarian President to use Fair Trade coffee, and we helped organize Red Mud Aid. However, because of the actions of certain people, that may all be at an end. I think Treehugger Dan's,  together with YOU, have done a lot of good over the years.

You have all probably received a strange email from the so called "Yellow Zebra Books." This email was not from me. Of course I would have informed you myself of any changes at the book store. On the morning of January 3, 2013 following the Christmas break, I went into work and discovered that my business partner and shop manager had effectively locked me out of the shop. Unfortunately,  these people also somehow gained access to my newsletter database. This is why you have been receiving strange emails. Yellow Zebra is selling my books; and using my mailing list, newsletter, logo, intellectual and other properties without my consent. Consequently, the Treehugger Dan's Bookstore Cafe you know and love has effectively ceased to exist until such time as the court case is settled.
